New Potholders

You're right Aud, potholders should be quick to make, especilly with all the sloppy guys around this house using them! It's a wonder the things lasted as long as they did!! LOL I used the Lily Sugar and Cream cotton for the new ones, it's thicker and worked up quickly. And I finally got smart- You know how we all have big rectangular baking/roasting pans? I measured mine and made some of the potholders into big rectangle shapes that fit under these big roasting pans so I don't have to use 2 or 3 potholders underneath them when I put them on the table. Marie and the cats - finally getting smarter

Good Idea, Marie! I will make some big too! I would love to get sugar and Cream here, but I see that the yarn shops here, get the yarn from same place! The same sort in all the three shops! The cotton they mostly sell now, is Mandarin Petite, many beautiful coloures, but not ideal for potholders!

Hi Mirjam,

We must surely be twins as that is the only thing I buy, the variegated color cotton.

Hugs,

Your twin,

Nora

Mirjam, Thank you for the good thought!

But you see, as soon as I leave this town and go south, i can get whatever I like. It's just here there are few choices!

While I wait for vacation, I use the "thin ones" in the double, have done it earlier, and it comes nice out!

Thank you for being so kind! ;-))
