Nifty Knitter

Hi, does anyone know how to make scarves on a round Nifty Knitter loom?

Follow the directions in the kit for the hat, only just keep going and going and going. You might need help with taking it off the loom at the end (If you ever used one of those potholder looms when you were a kid, it's the same idea). Then just sew the ends closed and add fringe. If you don't want it to be double-thickness, it's a little more difficult since it involves directions that don't come with the looms, but it is possible.

Is this the Knifty Knitter looms? They come 4 to a set? If so, go to

and look for Knifty Knitters and they have projects there.

Also, there are yahoo groups for this type of looming. One of the best is LoomKnittingNewbies. This is a very active group and have lots of information in their files. You have to join, but it free.

If you want it to be single-thickness, just mark a peg that you won't be using, and knit up next to it, then turn around and knit in the other direction. Repeat, going back and forth instead of around and around, until it's as long as you want it to be. For a narrower scarf, use fewer pegs.

If you want it to be double thickness, just knit around and around until it's as long as you want it.

Bind off, add fringe if you like it.
