Thanks for sharing these lilacs, Gemini. They are about the only lilacs that I will be able to enjoy. I am allergic to them. :-( Every year, there is a local lilac festival and I can't go. This will help me not to miss them.

Aww Janise, I'm sorry that you have to be allergic to such pretty flowers. We have a lilac bush growing just outside our kitchen window, another one up the garden at the fenceline, and a sprig of one that we brought from the other house (that we had bought and planted for my Mom one Mother's Day... it had very tiny blooms last year, which are usually humongous... but this year there is no sign of blooms on it at all, just tiny leaves). When the weather is warm enough (I hoping for that very soon) we open the kitchen window and the scent drifts into the house from the one outside the window. :o)

Keith is allergic to them as well, Janise. I wouldn't even show him the pictures as he would probably start sneezing.

Thank you! I forwarded them on to my DM @ her work as we used to have a 20 ft long "hedge" of them when we lived in Spokane, WA. Still hers and my favorite!!!!!
