THIS time they were a lot closer, but we are fine. Galatin and Hendersonville got the real 'brunk' of it all, 8 deaths and horrendous damage... they are about 70 miles from us. Closer to home, McMinnville also got it, 2 deaths and 'some' damage... and that's 18 miles south of us,and where it 'occurred' was actually on the county line, 7miles north of McMinn, so 11 miles south of us. Scarey day, all day. Hugs, Noreen

Thanks for letting us know that you are OK, Noreen. Now all we need is for Carol to check in. Let's hope it is sooner rather than later!

Oh, Noreen! This is SO scary ... and so upsetting to hear of deaths.

I hope you hear from your friend soon -- perhaps her phone's out and that's the only reason you haven't heard.

Glad to know that you're safe and fine.

Eve :o)

PS to Hesira: Are you and yours all better now from the Strep? Hope so!

Hi Eve,

Yes, we are better, thanks. Today was the 1st in a week that I felt "normal".

Sounds like the sort of day that makes ya want to dig the hole faster. I've only had a few of those here in Austin but they were a weekly occurance in Illinois.

Hi Ladies,

I hope the bad weather is over for all of you. I can't begin to think what it's like to go through. I watched the video the fellow took from the college and that's scary enough. Prayers going out to all the ones effected.

Hugs,

Nora

Carol, SO glad to hear that all is well with you. It's been a scarey beginning to the season, and as Wooly noted, I'm a former Illinoisian too, who SHOULD be used to this, but... having gone through 3, one with devistating damage, one with minor damage and one with none (two were in Wisconsin, one in Ill)... I tend to take these things more seriously than some. Hugs, Noreen
