Intergem Show

I would love to go but I just went to this one in Nashville and my bead funds are severely depleted. :-(

I went...I saw...and I only purchased two items totaling a whopping $12, but oooh, did I have a good time!! :) I purchased a ring sizing stick. I don't know what size ring I wear but it will just fit over a Vicks Inhaler...LOL Now that I have the sizer, I can make rings for others, too.

I also purchased a Geneva watch face. A sleek silver oval shape with a pale pink face. I already had pink "S-crystals* that match nicely. Naturally, both of my fellow power-shoppers had to have a one-of-a-kind-super-duper-custom-designed watch of their own. It was great fun watching them choose their own beads while struggling with their choices and changing their minds a million times...LOL This was a first for them and I hope I can produce what they envision. :)

Both my friends gravitated to the jewelry while I drooled over the beads. And naturally, I didn't get to linger, fondle, play and design nearly as much as I'd hoped. But I can't complain. I had the best time just getting out of the house for awhile and laugh ourselves silly...LOL...and we plan to do it all over again in October.

It sounds like you had a wonderful time! I think it's awesome when you can be surrounded by the stuff you love, not get a whole lot of it, and STILL come home happy--that is true "excursion bliss" to me.

Hi, Anna W. Welcome to RCB. :) I'm glad you had such a good time at the show. I usually go to area bead shows with 4 other women friends, then we finish off by going to lunch together. It's a total blast to have a mini "Show and Tell" with each other while we're waiting for lunch to arrive. Laughs, squeals and "where did you find THOSE beads?" abound. :) Linda

Thanks for the welcome, Linda. :) OMG...we did a Show and Tell when we stopped for dessert on the way home. It's good to know we're not the only ones to do this...LOL We even had two women from a nearby table come over to see what we were so excited about. :)
