I got my beads, and they are SOOO cool! I obviously wasn't paying attention to the auction description when I bid, because these are tiny! I love 'em! I'm much more attracted to little beads (I prefer small jewelry), and the blues are even more beautiful than pictured.

Warning: little kid story ahead!

On Friday, I decided to go out to Old Navy, and pick up some more tanks while they still had them. My kids were MONSTERS the whole time! Screaming, whining, running, tripping on their faces...the whole nine yards. It worked out well in that I wasn't there for long enought o do major damage to my pocketbook. On the way home, my 2yr old started this amazing tantrum. I drove the whole way home with her screaming bloody murder, kicking my seat, throwing everything she could reach from her seat...people were actually asking me if I needed help while we were stopped at red lights! When we got home, I got the kids out, an walked up to the mailbox, with DD screaming and raving all the way behind me. She'd been crying non-stop for a good half hour, and then threw herself on the ground in front of the mailbox, crying that SHE wanted her OWN mailbox. I was about to crawl under a rock, when DD caught a glimpse of the little manila envelope I had pulled from the mailbox. She immediately popped up, no tears, smiling ewar to ear with her sweetest "aren't I the cutest little angel in the world?" smile, and said, "Mama, beads? BEADS, MOM?!?" She actually SKIPPED back into the house, sat patiently with her hands folded in her lap while I opened the package, and when she saw the little blue beadies, she just about lost it, LOL. "Oooohh, COOL, mom! Beads mine, mom? Please? PLEASE, mom? PUHLLLEEEEEZZZZZZZZ!"

At which point, the screaming, crying temper tantrum took over again.

But, thank you, Starlia, for that 15 minute break in the insanity of my life. I may not have made it through the day without ya ;o)

Oh my freaking god. Kyla, how do you DO it?

BEADS, of course! LOL

That's pretty outta character for my DD; she's usually a storybook-girl, all sugar & spice, and everything nice. The kids have been a little crazy lately, because every one of our friends are out of town on vacation this month, so the kids are missing their playmates. Strip 'em of their daily routines, and the people they're used to seeing every day, and it gets a little hairy. I imagine a dog would react the same way ;o)

Lol. I'm sorry Kyla, but as a parent, you made me laugh. I was pretty lucky that my DD had very few tantrums, and what she did have was pretty short lived, but I remember her starting to act up, when we'd gone to get a Christmas present for hubby, and we left. I think she was about 3. I just put her in her carset and shut the door and stood there in the parking lot for a few minutes, letting her get it out of her system and thinking, "I an NOT driving home listening to that!"

I'm delighted to give you a break. You seemed to REALLY need it. LOL

So do you have plans for the beads yet? Other than too keep DD away from them?
