Poorly written pattern in "Knitting"

I received the latest (March) UK Knitting as a gift, and wanted to
make the Peacock Poncho on page 49, but
I'm extremely disappointed in how poorly this pattern is written.

That is one of my pet peeves! I have a booklet with three sock patterns in it, and two of them have significant errors (I'd say leaving off the heal flap completely is significant!).
Then again, I shouldn't talk because on the one original pattern I made for our LYS, there was a line when I meant to say "Work in pattern til the end of the round" -- and I typed "Work in pattern til the end of time." No one ever came in with a finished project, so for all I know, they may have taken it literally and are still working on it. :)

LOL! Sounds like that old joke about how the programmer died in the shower: Lather, rinse, repeat.
