I agree with you!!! But if you are knitting loosely, I often feel that it is not good enough (maybe I'm wrong) I usually knitt the two ends together 3-4 sts, but then I weave them, if I knit a "looser" pattern.

In crocheting I am much more clever to get rid of "my ends" while working! AUD ;-)

Shana and Aud,

Thanks for your answer! I've done the knit-together routine but wasn't happy with the bulk it created (I'm extremely critical of my work!!) and chose instead to just weave the ends in afterwards. I never thought of trimming them so that they'd be thinner! SO smart! Thanks very much for that answer. I will definitely try it the very next time I join a new piece. :o)

Aud, I'm much better with crocheting too and never have ends to deal with 'cause I work 'em in while I go. I'm still getting the "fine points" of knitting down 'cause though I learned as a child and knitted some things over the years, crochet was my passion so that I never learned the little tricks to knitting. I'm learning TONS here! :o)

Smiles to ya both, and thanks again! Eve :o)
