Hi Sarah! I just had a look, it's lovely! :o) I'm not working on anything at the moment, my back and arms are still not in condition for doing much of anything for a while. My heating pad is working overtime... sure hope it subsides before the hot weather sets in around here.

I also had a look around at the other patterns. A womb?!? Hmmmm... interesting. For the doctor who has everything? hehehe

Sarah, I have to laugh!

BLACK had been the best and safest colour for me too,

and probably for many others ! LOL!!

The jumper is great!

I have promised myself NOT to start any big project now.

Therefore I do squares. They are knitted, and crocheted. They are in same color scheme they are going to be an afghan, to use in the summer evenings, outside, when the weather is a bit cold.

What is this-- WELL...a new BIIIIIG project, I am sorry (glad???) to say!

Aud ;-))

Socks, and an Icelandic shawl, ripped the red alpaca Pi shawl, started a fulled bag today. Will probably have to rip back the sock and reknit the heel as its a short-row number and I realized about two rounds ago that one side of the heel is really sleazy.

Lots of things...

The Sheep Sweater from Linda's Craftique (mama sheep knitting the wool from her lamb...my NYCO)

The De Colores Jacket from "Modular Knitting" in Kureyon (the construction--only one color yarn...just knit the plain strips to the measurements). That's my take-along

The Cornhusker Sweater from an ancient Knitter's Magazine in blue and white (for the HS where I teach. Should be ready by next football season...I hope )

I gloss over the cardigan in rayon that's waiting in a bag for it's sleeves, the afghan squares that get done bit by bt and the cross stitch sampler that languishes until school is out, and all the stuff that keeps calling me.

Should be enough to keep me busy a while....

Ooh, some flip flops? Are they knitted? I saw some knitted shoes in "The Urban Knitter" and was vaguely tempted but didn't know how long they would last.

heh. i thought i was in a.g.f. for a second there... :) i like Cathode, except the short sleeves. can't stand those, although they're better than the ones that end mid-forearm (i guess it's because it feels like i'm wearing too-small clothes?) still, it should be very easy to put long sleeves on that sweater... what yarn are you using? i'm currently sewing & stuffing Tux the (knit)penguin & starting the Fiber Trends felted chicken *and* these kitties:

It's not bad is it? It was very confusig to begin with, but that was just because I couldn't figure out how the collar worked, but I think I understand now. I'm just increasing in the round to make it wide enough for the sleeves to begin. It's my first jumper knitted in the round so I'm quite excited. :o)

Oh dear. Let's hope it gets better soon.

There are some odd patterns there. I like the site because the styles are young and go up to my size ;o)

Black is so easy isn't it? It goes with everything and never clashes with my makeup *grin*

Well you know, I get around a bit ;o)

Funny you should say that as I'm wearing a top now which has sleeve which finish mi forearm adn I keep thinking is it too small! *lol*

Just very boring black arcrylic as I've got quite a bit of it around. I'm trying to declutter by using up yarn so matching the yarn and needles I've got to a pattern made this one my first choice. I'm using two strands of DK to get the thickness of the yarn correct.

Okay, I have to ask... what is an Origami Sweater, and where can I find a picture of it? I just did a search on Google and came up with a few mentions, but no pictures at all.

Oh, that is nice! I just finished a Baby Surprise sweater for my granddaughter, and made a little hat to match it.

Hi,

I've got two afghans going for Project Linus and the one for Stella's sister. I've got the edging the squares I've received, just waiting for a few more to arrive then I'll be ready to put it on the dining room table. All of you who have contributed will get a picture of it.

Hugs,

Nora

You're right. I can't find a picture on the web. It was in an old issue of Machine Knitter's Source and has just been revisited in Inknitters Spring

2005 issue with more info for hand knitters. It's also in the current issue of Spin Off in a woven version (linen-hemp shirt p.42) . It's a very clever concept and I hope it will be as much fun to make as it is to contemplate. I think I chose too fine a gauge, so it's going to take a bit long, but I wanted garter stitch, so I am doing it by hand. If I like it I may make more by machine. I have been measuring my stash of hand woven yardage as well. I think I have one piece that will work.

Just finished The Sweater That Took Forever and sent it off (late!) for my son's birthday. I don't know how I underestimated either the time I'd be able to spend or the time it would take -- both! -- but I was dreaming of black/white tweed. Neck down, simple crewneck. I'm hoping it is casual enough for over t-shirts (the neck scoops a little) or over a collar shirt for less casual. Extra large.

Now, back to hat #2 (chartreuse) of the series of teletubbie hats I'm doing for my littlest grandson -- third in a row to adore the Tubs. (First called them "Tub-tubIES," (accent on that last syllable,) second called them "Tubby-tubbies" and Will, so far, just screams delightedly when he sees them. He's just a year old though. I knitted the purple, triangle one first and he keeps it in his playpen and tries it on when he watches the show. I will eventually send him all four.

I'm still working on the double-knit mitts. I'm still on the first one. I can only knit a row at a time and then have to rest my hands. I wonder if I'll get them finished before next winter! LOL
