Still here...

Projects In Grocery Sacks. :) The yarn, the needles and pattern are all together and ready to start -- but it's not really an UFO because it was never started and it's not on the needles, so it's not a WIP. But I have plans for it.

Thankyou. It took a while to get it just the way I wanted it, so I'm glad you like it too :o)

Not much really. Although I'm tempted to say it means the sign of good quality, handcrafted merchandise, but I guess that would be far too cheeky

*lol*

Nice to see you back!

Thankyou so much. I appreciate it. It's taken me a while to get things sorted. I'm working on a few new designs at the moment, but I've still got a few more things to take pictures of in the mean time.

I'm trying my best. I've still got things missing that I need to use. Despite having a huge roll of velrco somewhere, I had to buy a couple of metres of it the other day. I gave it 3 days of unpacking and decluttering, but I needed to get on with some work.

I've only got boxes in 3 rooms now. Some hiding under the dining table, a few in the attic which we use as our computer room, and a wardrobe full in my sewing room.

I've managed to unearth 3 boxes of UFOs so far so I guess I have to work my way through those at some point soon! *lol*

I'm trying to get as much as possible done as I can a day now we are settled in nicely.

I think the main problem was that we had to pack so quickly that everything got mixed up. I'm decluttering as I unpack and sorting things into other boxes so items end up in which room they are supposed to go! I have so much junk!

I've learnt that if I get Stu to empty the bin after I've decluttered, I don't reclaim any of the things that I've already discarded. *lol*

*grin* Okay, how did you come up with that name, does it mean something in the UK or somewhere else?

I haven't got any of those - mainly because the yarn will be in a different place to the pattern, and the needles are probably still in use in another project.

My husband called it me once when we were having a joke about, and it stuck. :o)

I was talking to someone about it the other day who said it reminded him of the imaginery rabbit in the 1950 film Harvey who is a "Pooka" rabbit.

is also a small Japanese girl called Pucca which might be relevant

Not *too* bad -- in our subdivision, we had one tree get pulled out, but it was right next to a marsh, so that didn't surprise me. And one gutter ripped off a garage roof. I was surprised there wasn't more damage, since, less than five miles east, there were several homes that had their fences completely blown down, and a lot of trees and tree branches down. It's like it did a little skipping thing until it got further east. The tornado warning for my area was issued very shortly after my power went out, so I didn't know about it until the next day.

Ooof! That pooka club URL was impossible to read for my screen reader - the front page was a bunch of links not identified with text, which in turn led to "refresh URL" links, which in turn led to more pages with links not identified with text. After visiting three such links from the first page, I closed my browser.

I've heard about that movie, the invisible white rabbit friend movie definitely rings a bell! Video time...

Ah well. I only looked at the from page in Firefox, so that was probably whay I didn't notice anything. Sorry about that. Did you get to see a picture of her?

The idea of it reminds me of Donnie Darko. I haven't gotten around to seeing Harvey yet though.

lol... a screen reader reads text on the computer screen for blind & visually-impaired people, the only things I see now are what's in my head.

*chuckle*

Sorry for confusion ;)

LOL We should think up one for LGM!

Kather> lol Thanks Katherine! Yeah, I've got a few wips and ufos! So far no

Not sure what you mean Katherine *chuckle* Actually, lgm was coined forty or fifty years ago for 'little green men', aliens from other worlds. I guess the pre-cursors of today's 'greys', the aliens with large eyes as portrayed in Close encounters of the Third Kind (a fabulous movie which I highly enjoyed!).
