Suggestions for Katrina relief packages

Having made it thought several storms, here are a few suggestions. Toilet articles (toothbrush, shampoo, soap, brushes, combs. etc.) Toys, games, books and maybe a stuffed animal for kids. Any type of food which doesn't have to be cooked, snack bars are wonderful.

My own add-on after seeing and hearing on news reports about babies and elderly people in diapers for three days straight... their skin *has* to be just about raw by now... how about disposable diapers for both babies and for adults who need them?

Aww, God bless them! I wish I could send them some stuffed clown dolls that I make... something to cuddle would be nice.

Nora, how did you find your way to the group that Kitt has... and do you have to actually be a contributor (ie making the facecloths, etc) to join the group, or can people join just to talk and contribute by posting free pattern URLs, etc?

Peace! Gemini

I'm not trying to hijack any threads...just trying to keep the number of OT posts to a minimum. Anyone in the Philadelphia area that wants to help the expected 5000 Katrina victims that are expected to arrive in the next couple of days, should go to the website set up by the city to see what they can do:
