Today I run a big charity fun day for Mencap here, soI've been really busy. Everything is now all done, and even the music kit is installed.
Raffles Auctions singers etc all ready and willing to go...I'll let you know how we all do.
My Great t*ts are now out of the box, or at least the last ones to go are, goodness knows how many she has had altogether. They are still hanging around the garden, and keep coming and shouting at the window, so I've put out their feeders full of nuts and sultanas currants and raisins..and I see the parents are having a good tuck in on it all,
I'm glad after the two mishaps they've had that mum an dad have four tiny ones with them this morning, soon they will take them out over the fields to join their elder brothers and sisters, and learn all the skills they need to survive.
In a week I will open the box and clear it out of debris, and put in a liner of clean fleece incase they want to roost there again in the winter, they do sometimes. At the moment the honeysuckle is providing them with dew to drink nd the odd caterpillar to munch on so they are happy.
Now I'm off over the fields with my two westies for their walkies, then home shower and off for the charity fundraiser....
Thanks to you all for those well wishes for today, and to Nora who has kept me sane the last few weeks with words of encouragement for this event..
The sun is shining, the birds are\ singing.....the wind has dropped, and I'm all set....
Thanks ..... Cher x
