Why is knitting/crochet so enjoyable?

Right, that is one of many issues regarding the use of a spouse as a swift. Consider that they don't even exist in many homes whereas a home without a lampshade is very uncommon.

My dearest friends, I saved up and purchased a swift (50% coupon off at Joann's) because they are just flat cool! Also, I have been upgrading my yarn to include some of the "hank-type" wools and other wonderful fibers. If I can get the fiber I want locally, most high-end shops will wind them for me, but as often as not I have to buy them off the Internet - hence the swift.

Admittedly, I need very little execuse to invest in tools (that being a man thing, I believe). My latest is the Denise Needle kit. Now I am ready for anything, bring it on!

Yes the Denise Needle Kit

is the one with the interchangeable circular needles. I have one set working on a new project this evening and I do like them. I used the bamboo circular needles but I have had a challenge with the cable being to stiff and hard to manage. The Denise needle system is much softer and easier to work with (IMHO).

They cost about $45US and cover most sizes, so they turn out to be a better investment, for me anyway, than buying a whole bunch of individual circular needles (all lengths all sizes are a lot of money). I do miss the bamboo feeling, but I still have my set of bamboo straight needles that will not be replaced.

thanks Padishar, I have looked at those needles, but was never sure if it would be a good buy, they are about the same price here in Canada
