Working with Fun Fur

I am making this hat

with Lion Brand Homespun and Fun Fur. (I did the ribbing and the first 8 rounds with just the Homespun). With the fuzziness of the Fun Fur, I can't tell the difference between the seed stitch and the straight stitch! So I was thinking about doing all of the seed stitch rounds in straight stitch, since that is much faster for me, and I have a deadline.Would this change how the hat would fit? Does anyone think that a difference will be seen between the two types of stitches so that it would matter?

Thanks!

My tension is looser with seed stitch, so if I were knitting it, the change to stockinette would make it a little tighter, but not a lot tighter. If the fun fur seems to be the kind that will fall out eventually, then the seed stitch will show. However, since it doesn't show now, I'd make the change and just be careful about the tension.

IME, seed stitch is not stretchy in the same way as ordinary knitting. OTOH, unless the hat is designed to be loose, I think having it slightly stretchier would be good.
