LQS - Quilting class!

It's been a long time since I've taken a quilting class but this Sat I'm doing "high tech tuck", a wall hanging designed by Caryl Bryer Fallert. No, unfortunately she won't be teaching the class. Celebrity quilters never seem to make it that far up North. The pattern was published in a Fons & Porter Sep 2006 magazine.

For the main panel I ordered the Laurel Burch Sea Mermaid as well as a yard of colorful fish fabric from the same line. This is just in case the panel doesn't work well. I'm really looking forward to making this wall hanging. Quite a deviation from my usual type of quilting.

Happy Quilting!

I don't know the pattern, but I hope you enjoy the class.

I just took the beginning quilting course at JoAnns (we live opposite), though I wasn't technically a beginner, I just felt I needed some help to tie it all together and I really did learn and awful lot.

Soon, I'm going to be doing their Fons and Porter star class, but after than I may have to look elsewhere for classes, it's been so convenient just walking over, rolling my sewing machine behind me, anywhere else and I'd have to drive, which means leaving the rest of the family without a car, or having them drop me off and pick me up (we're a one car family, DH cycles to work, but on the weekends, if I'm busy, it's good for him to have the car so he can run some errands).
