Opinion please?

Hi,

If you get a moment, I would appreciate your opinions on a project that I am starting. I have put pictures of two possible arrangements of blocks in my "Opinions, please?" album on webshots. I think that I know what I want to do but it would be good to hear what others think.

This is an expansion of the "Countdown to Christmas" table runner that I found on Kim Graham's site (thanks, Kim). My ambitious plan is to make it a twin bed size. It will be bordered with the print that is in the center of the stars. There will probably be a narrow border of a lighter green inside that print border.

What do you all think?

I'm with the first option Rita - I like the pink!

Replying to myself... only one of the pictures seems to be viewable. I am going to try to fix that now.

I like #1. The stars really show off!

Thanks Suzie, Mary and Louise! You have confirmed that my first instinct is good. I really like the first one better as well.

Turn your pink stars green, and make the centers pink? In other words, a third option?

Rita, I replied privately as well so I could attach a couple of .bmp files to illustrate. I made up a quick example of both versions in EQ5 and it looks like the pink and green pretty much balance out when you get enough blocks together. You could then skew the color perception by what you use for that inside border. HTH.

Hmmm... I like that idea too. I think I will make a few more squares and experiment with that. Thank you!

Either one would look just fine in my house! (a clumsy beg per rctq standards, but I'm tryin'!) But wherever it lives I like the second one better.

OK, since you asked so nicely :-) and because Rita's spam filter seems to have eaten my message to her. Peek in my WIPs album on webshots (ok, so its not *my* WIP, it *is* a WIP ...) the first two pix. I just put them up so it may take a half hour or so before they are visible.

(So, what *does* OI mean, anyway?) )O( Anne > OI!!!! do the rest of us get to see what you drafted up?

oops, forgot OI. OI is an exclamation. i suppose the nearest is how amercans might say "Hey!!" this can fit in many a situation to get someones attention to an issue. 'hey!! what do you think your doing?' 'hey, i was watching that tv show' 'hey, i wanted that last piece of cake' one difference is that OI is not for horses. :) clear it up some? lol. hugz, jeanne

Pink option, because it's unexpected.

How about Option 3: if you make half pink and half green, you get an interesting secondary pattern when they are put together. Here's an approximation of what that might look like:
