OT:May skip the lining

I finished weaving my first project -- a 'rag' weave bag. I turned it into a purse type bag with a folding over flap and made and added a bottom so it would sit up. I wanted to put in a lining, but I've made such a mess that I think it's going to have o live without lining. So tomorrow I will make the shoulder strap and attach it (easy peasy) and then I'll take photos and show off my 'work of art'. It's a terrible color of red (I wanted to use cheap fabric for the rag so that if it turned out ruined beyond use that I hadn't wasted good fabric) but I think it will be somewhat useful. Somewhere. LOL.

I'll post pics tomorrow. It's not bad for a first try.

I haven't tried weaving since we wove baskets from pine straw back in Girl Scout days. Eager to see pictures and so glad you began with a cheap fabric just to test the possibilities. You can always get a separate something to house little important items in the bag instead of a lining. Do you toss rag bags in the wash to make them really raggy and did you add a color catcher?
