Quilt Show report

Well, I went to the quilt show!

The day was perfect for it. Might have been a little too warm for the vendors in the vendor's tent, but was great for enjoying the park.

The park is a very large heritage centre. It is set up as a small town. There must be a dozen houses, hotel, bakery, dentist, various other shops, with a small farm on the outskirts of town. Quilts were everywhere, hanging from the second story balcony of the hotel, along fences, on stands set up in the yards of houses, inside the homes and outside on the clothes lines.

Lots of eye candy!

I came back full of ideas and probably 30 fat quarters. I also bought a Boondoggle ruler and patterns to go with it. ( I needed to buy the patterns so that when I eventually get around to trying the ruler, I'll be able to figure out what to do with it!)

Some of the fat quarters that I bought are a cowboy teddy bear print and coordinates, that I hope to make into a quilt for a new grandson. Most of the others are stash builders for future projects. I'm always looking for creams and tans, and over the last 6 or 8 months I've been collecting chocolate browns.

I really want to head to my sewing space now, but first these all need washing. (It's the rule at my house, no fabric goes into the sewing room till it's been washed, then I always know)

And, I guess, since it is now 7:45pm here and we haven't had supper yet, that I should find us some food.
