I've been following the Indy 500 for years - at one time I lived close enough to the track I could hear the cars in May - however, this is the first I've heard of the 500 Quilt Lady.
Gee, I lived in Indy for a few years -- never heard of her. Lived in Cincinnati for almost 30 years and followed the Indy 500 in the days when I was sewing a lot. Never heard of her. Where have we been? Why are we just now hearing about it?
Dunno! I clicked on the Indy 500 website this afternoon and there she was!
What a wonderful Lady. I wish we could see some of her creations!
