Best I could do picture-wise. I'm still not sure of its name. If you have any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated.

Since the quilt, which is gorgeous, is going to CA, how about naming it "California Dreamin' "??

I loved looking at all your quilts -- what a wonderful bunch of things you've created! I'm looking at, "Wild Things" right now -- is it a miniature? I love anything mini and have only made a couple that turned out OK. But there's always more to try.

Your blue kaleidoscope in the round is great! Using a quarter circle is a darn site better than the ones I did recently -- just as effective without all the bulk in the center.

I'm sorry, I don't have a suggestion for the "Blue Saffron" -- it's got a great swirly movement, doesn't it? Your eye just whirls all around it.

And I love that you have such fun with color!

It's a lovely quilt, Joan. You do wonderful work.

The only name I could think of (with just a few minutes thought) was 'Whirlpools'. Hang on - a song (from many years ago) just came into my head. I'm just singing it through in my mind ... .... something like 'Circles in/of my mind'? (Lovely song!) I think the word 'turning' occurs a lot? . In message , joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska writes

Yes, WildThing is an itty bitty. It's about 14" square. I haven't found a place for it in our new house. In fact, it's never been displayed at home. I'm annoyed with it actually. I made it for a 'contest' at the store and it didn't win. Isn't that silly of me? Well, silly or not, I'm still p*ssed.

Ah yes, *Windmills of your mind" - thanks Megwen. Doesn't it also have the phrase 'wheel within a wheel' in it, too? Seems just the right song for the quilt >g< . In message , Megwen writes

Wow! Lucky kids to receive such a beauty! Looking at it makes me think of a cityscape reflected in a pool, with ripples. Roberta in D
