Scrapbook Store Bus Trip

I'm leaving early in the morning for a bus trip to five scrapbook stores with my crop group. I have a budget and hopefully will not go overboard. I do love to go to different stores to see what new products they have.

We'll be going to: Lavender Sentiments - New Albany Archivers - Louisville Memories ala Mode - Frankfort Scrap Paper Scissors - Georgetown Lasting Legacy - Lexington It will be an all day trip. I think we get back at around 11 pm. I can't wait to get away for the day.

Hopefully this will get me back into the scrapping mood. Sandy

Had a great time. I actually stayed within my budget, but it was fun watching some of the others on the trip spend theirs. One lady brought $500 cash to spend and went home with $3.00 left. One of our other members only buys scrapbook supplies on this trip every year. She saves up for the trip and spends around $1,200 each year. Sometimes it makes me feel sort of cheap limiting myself to around $20 per store. My best buy was at Lasting Legacy in Lexington. The owner there met us at the door and gave every one of us a 12x12 page kit in a baggie with a list of special just for our SISF members and a special coupon for either 40% off any one item or 15% of our entire purchase. I got an electric melting pot with my 40% coupon making it $20. I have been wanting one for a long time to do some altered projects and now I have one. Just have to find time to use it. I mainly bought adhesive, some paper I had been looking for I'd seen in the magazines, clear acrylic flowers, arrows and circles, and the ek success edge punch that looks like steno paper. I also found nursing paper and embellishments for my DD's graduation from nursing school in July. I have to get that page done. I felt so pampered not having to drive or look for directions to the stores. We were delivered to the front door of the stores and the restaurants by the bus driver. Played games for small prizes all the way there and part way back. Had drawings for $25 gift certificates for each store. It was great.

I also won the beach bag full of scrapbook items from the drawing the owner of Scrap, Paper Scizzors had for us at her shop.
