First and foremost, think very very carefully about accepting this job. Commercial work needs to meet very strict rules regarding fire safety. Fire-retardent fabrics are NASTY to work with as they are treated with pretty potent chemicals; wear a mask and work in a well-ventilated room. Your liability will be MUCH greater for a job like this; imagine if a hotel guest drops a lit cigarette and it ignites your curtains because they are not fire-retardent. You are opening yourself up to HUGE lawsuit.

Not to say it cannot be done; it's just not the kind of job I would want as a newbie to the field.

Best advice: go to Cheryl Strickland's web site and join the forum and post for advice there. Invaluable help and a great group of people!!
