On the road request ...

Request to some kind soul: I'm on the road and a niece wants to make the sugar cookies recipe from Julia Child The Way To Cook. I don't have it with me. Could a kind soul post the basic ingredients and quantities?

It's almost at the end of the book. It's the same recipe as for sweet pastry but you up the sugar for the cookies.

I have a vague recollection it's about a cup of flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 stick butter, a little salt.

Thanks,

John

- 3/4 c. a.p. flour, scooped & leveled

- 1/4 c. cake flour

- 1/4 tsp. salt

- 1 stick of chilled unsalted butter, cut up into 16 pcs.

- 1/2 c. sugar (for the cookies)

- 1 egg yolk

- 1 tsp. vanilla extr.

- 1 tbsp. cold water, plus droplets as needed

many thanks!

(I can't believe it - I'd forgotten both the vanilla and the yolk)

John
