This week, I bid on a lot of 40 carved pendants, in anticipation of making all the stuff for the charity auction. Newbies: I make jewelry for the annual fund raiser for a school for multiply handicapped children. The jewelry is auctioned off, and gets some serious money for the kids.
Anwyay, I noticed that the seller's location is one town over from mine. I offered to meet her in person (at a public place, natch), and we'd handle the transaction there. That way, I get instant gratification and she gets to avoid Paypal and shipping expenses.
This afternoon, I'm meeting her at a nearby shopping center to handle the exchange. I'm officially stoked. This just seems so cool.
Of course, I'll post pictures when I get the creations done. I also got a humongous batch of Bali and Hill Tribe silver, and I think that some of this stuff is going to come out very, very well.
