AD: Desert Dreamer New Auctions

Hi all! Just a quickie because it's late and I'm recovering from a depressing movie. (The Life of David Gale). Moral: Accept no substitutes for Chicago!.

Anyway....I've got new beads and a few last recycled sets up on Ebay and Justbeads. Possibly a bit too much purple for some folks' taste, but there will be new colors and patterns & stuff with the next batch. I have a fresh tank of oxygen and lots of ideas brewing.

Anyone still interested in the Japanese-style foiled beads? I'm thinking of silver foil with ocean colored frit melted on top. I actually had a dream about it last night. Wanted to cry when I started my torch and there was no oxy left. Gah! (Note to self: regulators indicate how much is left. Doh!)

went out - and smacked the regulator - needle dropped to zero... it was stuck...!!!!<

I feel your pain! My propane regulator is like that. Now I use my bathroom scale to figure out how much is left.

You know me too well, Karen, LOL! I still have lots of vintage Japanese foil beads - I can't seem to bear the thought of making something with them!

Sooo, Carol....for the education of Dierdre (doesn't that sound like a steamy novel?) and my possible inspiration...care to post a pic? Pretty please????? (Who knows, you might just land a focal to go with 'em!)

I don't worry about propane - as you can get it 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year... and i can do it in 20 minutes. When it goes out -I get a new tank.... pronto! But Oxygen - that requires the welding place be open - and a longer trip....

Wellll, I own my propane tank and just get it refilled. I got superstitious after my mom, who just did trade-ins, had two go bad on her...the second one with a rather large BOOM. (Wrecked the outdoor shower at her vacation place and sent shrapnel into the concrete block wall.)

Besides, my oxy guy has the lowest price on propane, so I just take the tank along when I'm getting close to what I think is low. The other problem out here is that on very hot days the pressure fluctuates when I'm getting low. Life is an adventure!
