It rained yesterday so I spent most of the day inside. One of my "chores" was sorting, cutting and labelling some new boro colors I bought way back in June. It got me to thinking....
Most of the boro beads I've made have had some or a lot of light in them....spaces with transparency someplace or other. Same goes for a lot of boro beads by other artists. These seem to be really good sellers, too. But....is there a market for more opaque, color-right-on-the-surface beads? I have a bunch of cool solid colors and I'm trying to decide whether to just use them as small accents or whether to go all out and make really color-intense beads. My personal bias is towards color AND light, but I know it's not a good thing to get locked in.
So, whaddya all think?
