AD: Hearts, Swirls and Textures

I had a really fun weekend just playing with stuff. I made a hollow boro vessel and blew my first ever glass bubble (first one that didn't pop). What to do with them, not a clue. Yet.

Aside from those quirks, here's some pretties.

On Ebay: A glowing heart with sunstone rondels, a long milk-white tube with garnet doodles, a desert oasis bead (great flashes of silver), and a pretty speckled blue bead (using copper leaf) with turquoise.

On Justbeads: A truly garnet-colored heart with flashes of dichro, a peachy tube with crystals, a tube bead in rich pinks, and a large (VERY) malachite-like bead.

Thanks for looking!

And the garnet heart set is MINE!!! I was sitting there trying to talk myself out of bidding, because you know I Don't Do Hearts, and then I remembered. My best friend here in Houston is going to be attending a wedding next month, and she wants me to make her a necklace to go with the... wait for it... BURGUNDY dress she'll be wearing. Bingo! We'd looked around at Intergem over the weekend but hadn't found anything truly outstanding, though we did pick up a strand of elongated baroque burgundy pearls which will probably also go into this. It's that whole serendipity thing striking again.

out of bidding, because you know I Don't Do Hearts, <

ROFL.....like I Don't Do Pink (usually).

I'm thrilled that Intergem didn't stack up to my little heart! (I keep wondering about doing some of their shows, too.)

It's a fun piece, I think you'll like it. And PLEASE send me a picture when it's strung!!!

I always like the results of your fun.

Some have been sold already, no pictures of those. :=( I really like your dichro heart.

Exactly. But the color on this one was just SO luscious!

Well, at least here in Houston, there's not a lot of lampwork at Intergem. So if you want a nice focal, it can be difficult to find.

I'll do better than that -- I'll post a link here, and you have my permission to download the image if you like.
