Just Stuff

I am stitching a little - needed a break from the dreaded dragons and found an old Textile Heritage kit of hollyhocks to work on. Might even finish it! LOL

I'm back at Herrington helping people order for their nearest and dearest. Always fun.

And best of all the old, miserable tenants are history except for an old table that I either have to repair to donate or take apart to toss. New tenant with real job and very stable. HURRAH, on that front the last few months have been HELL.

Reading tons... I'm on a Sharon Shinn kick and I'm reading all her older stuff. For the Jane Eyre fans, may I recommend Jenna Starborn which is a YA take on the plot line. Started The Sixth Surrender and I am really enjoying.

More or less the same here. Still stitching on What In The World. It's taking forever, but it's really coming out nice and I probably will frame this one and hang it somewhere.

I'm delighted for you that the miseries have left. Good luck with the new tenant. I really hope everything goes very well. Having rented my place in Brooklyn for 30 years, and being a really great tenant, I understand. We saw them come and go in apartments on my block and were very friendly with most of the homeowners. Over the years I heard all the horror stories.

Me too reading a lot. I just finished an old suspense thriller by by Lee Child, Die Trying. Fast paced and gory. Right now, as a pleasant diversion I'm reading the next Kate Shugak in the series. I'm slowly catching up with them and leave them for in betweens. Next up for me is Room. It looks a little odd, but a friend of mine is reading it now and says it's good. If I remember, I'll report on it when I'm into it. If anyone is interested, and I forget to do it, feel free to remind me.

I'm in the midst of JSC's Snowy Globe, with 3 other charts stitched, and two more to go. I'm making sure to find time to get them done.

Never been a landlord, glad the new tenant is working out.

Just finished Jo Nesbo's Nemesis, about to begin Thomas Kinkade/ Katherine Spencer's newest Cape Light book. Then Karen MacInerny's newest.
