I like the ones that are like nipples. :-)
Even moreso now that I can see that they look like nipples.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. Though we can work with colors that aren't to our own taste ... such as for a commissioned work ... I think our best stuff emerges when we are working with something we ourselves love.
As for how many in a set ... what I use varies with the project, and I am also willing to adapt the project to what is available in components I am attracted to. I think that erring on the side of a couple too many rather than too few would be useful. People can always use 'left overs' for something small, like a pair of earrings.

Well maybe someday I'll learn to appreciate and not be so jealous of them! LMAO

I had breast reduction surgery almost a year ago, and plan to have a small, intimate birthday party for the grrls. I'm thinking smallish cupcakes with a cherry on top would be an appropriate treat to serve. I'm guessing this helps explain my love for bumpy beads ;-)
I like surface decoration that has -shape-, more than I like little bumps that look like that 'sugar candy drops on a piece of wax paper' stuff I used to see in the candy store as a kid.
I like spirals and squiggles in transparent glass, and I like your raised flowers more and more as I see them develop.
But BFNR ("bumps for no reason") do very little for me.

Agreed... and they recognize who values them. I think Kathy's story makes that plain enough.

That's why...

I'm not generally fond of bumpy beads either. Although I did recently see someone who had made a pair into earrings, and that worked -- in a sort of "flying saucer" way, if that makes sense.

My take on it is this: generally, organics are abstract - it has more to do with pattern than color. Organics have no specific pattern. For me, the more pattern, the better. Geometrics have an intentded symmetry, most of the time. Organics do lean toward the earthy tones - a lot of ivory is used because of it's feathering quality - the glass feathers as you heat it up. Here are some examples -
Thanks for that tutorial. I was confused on the subject myself and hadn't asked the question.
