You can also design the pages to the size, shape, color you want and then take it to a Kinko's and have it comb bound, it is cheap, it looks pretty good especially if you tie ribbons around it when done and it is durable. i made a similar book for my son at that age. I bound each page with duct tape in the right colr. Just lay adjacent pages down, smooth tape over the join. Fold closed, attach next page with next color. I edged each page with the tape too. It was a pretty indestructible book. I dont' have it anymore tho or i would take a picture.
