AD:Progessive Auction Needs Progress!!!

There hasn't been much progress on my progressive auction yet! I've got lots of neat stuff to add IF the bid rises... which it hasn't yet. For each $5 it rises, I'll add something new. My first item to add is some lovely vintage AB crystals. Come on, let's play!!! It ends Thursday so you need to hurry! :)

I wish I could help, but the first pic shows nothing I would really use. The colors and styles are not my thing. That crystals you added are pretty though.

Oh, I didn't mean for you to think you had to cater to my tastes for this auction! I am sure it will do well. :) But since you asked.... Well, I don't know much about vintage, but I am not a fan of white or of turquoise. I do like vintage crystals - in any color. I also have no use for cabs. I like amethysts and sterling silver. I don't like base metal, anything gold colored or most plastics. I like a lot of the transparent or translucent gemstone beads. I love anything floral or leaf shaped.

One main thing that I think would really improve your auctions is better pictures. The pictures you have up make your beads look dirty, and I know they are not. Colors don't show up very well - for instance, the amethyst butterflies you have on another auction look dark brown to me, as do the amethyst beads. This makes me hesitate from bidding. I'll bet you get more bids if you fine tune your pictures a little. :) I know you didn't ask that, so feel free to ignore if you like.

ROFL, Sooz...you're like I was last weekend, rootling through my mom's jewelry box finding treasures to play with. I'm finding that I love "redoing" pieces. The best part of my redoing stuff for my mom, is that she gives me whatever is left over.

Is anyone else having problems viewing my pictures? They look OK on my PC, but not the same color as on my hubby's PC - he's the one who scans them in. I'd love to take them with our digital camera, but they seem to come out all blurry. Any tips?

Your digital camera should have a macro. Using that will keep the pics from turning out blurry. We have posted lots of photography tips and information on how to improve auctions - especially lately. Have you read those posts? I also have some info on photography here:

Yeah. Definitely. I have all sorts of vintage components and bits in my studio. Love that stuff....I use 'em for many things, not just jewelry. But even if I didn't use them, I would want them. Droolingly. ~~ Sooz
