Jalynne, I think they will be somewhere around $15.00 when I get better at them, less if I get my time down. Gotta practice... Sarajane

now those parts would never even OCCUR to me!

But they certainly -work-. Amazing what experience can do for your instincts about what to try, isn't it?

It makes sense to give the fragile parts a bit of a 'head start' in the strength and stability department.

and those mannequin bodies! Just imagine a display with one of them, the shoes at the feet, and a hat just laying across the neck.

Oh yes! I could too. Especially a tassel mould in shape of a hat with the shoes hanging down. Already my mind is in designing mode. I will have to see if DH can produce a wooden mould. I have just sketch a design for him. Perhaps we could do an exchange. You provide the shoes and I will make us a tassel each. I would say about 4 shoes for each tassel. Maybe you could make a closed up parasol to go with them or some purses. Or even some gloves. Brain gone into overdrive here and all before breakfast. Shirley

The thing about experience is that it keeps repeating itself *until* you learn from it ...

Eventually, we figure that out and start paying attention. Or we don't, and keep getting whacked with the same 2 x 4 on the noggin until we fall in a heap.

LOL! very good!

and sometimes, even often, you have to let the youngsters find out for themselves the hard way. and i hate for them to have to learn that way, but sometimes, it's the only way they remember.

a benign example:

Johnny: "just let me do it my way."

Me: "no. because i've done it that way, and it doesn't work. it will have to be done over, sooner."

Johnny: "but, mooooooooooooooooooooom . . . "

**grin**

Sometimes that kind of oblivious confidence seems to act as a protection. But now and then, it doesn't.
