bloomin' clay

I'll be darned...I made a rose! The color is a bunch of different stuff (experiments that went horribly wrong, then I just mixed all the scraps together).

Thanks, Kalera :)

I really like the way the stamped one came out, too, so I've been looking for more rubber stamps. I remember a few years ago when rubber stamping was all the rage and I couldn't walk into a bookstore without finding all kinds of designs. Now that I'm *looking* for them, almost no one carries them. And the folks that do carry them (in my neighborhood) have only a few designs. I'm headed to Michael's tomorrow to see what's available there.

Thanks again!

Cheers, Carla

Oh, I wish you lived here; there's a whole stamping store up the street! It has stamps and supplies, and they can make your own stamps to order. Makes me wish I was a stamper... (LOL, another thing to add to the list for "when I have time".)

I saw some unique stamps on the 2nd floor of The Paper Source, 232 W Chicago Ave. and while you're in the neighborhood, check out Pearl Art, Craft and Graphic Discount Center, 225 W. Chicago Ave. Pearl's has rubber stamps, embossing, embellishment, polymer clay etc. Even if you don't buy, you just have to visit these places!

Yes, please and thank you :)

Okay, so I went to Michael's to check out their rubber stamps. Lots to choose from, but I was kinda surprised by the prices. I mean, I just bought a box of celtic designs, about 15, for under $20. At Michael's, the prices on the sizes I'd use for pendants were about five bucks each. It's not that I'm not willing to pay for what I want/need, I was just surprised they were that much.

They also don't carry liquid clay :(

They do, however, now carry pasta machines (after I finally bought one on ebay).

Ah well...I did pick up a bunch more Premo :)

Cheers, Carla
