clay obsession

I've apparently gone clay crazy. Every Friday night is now devoted to polymer clay. Now that I've been a bit more serious about reading instructions (heh!) and trying new techniques and the like, I'm getting pretty good results, and feedback from folks in the form of "Can you make me something like that?"

I've still got lots to try and lots to learn. But here's some of my recent stuff.

Beautiful stuff

How do you get the tube shape so consistant? Try the red rectangles with translucent. I used red pearl and translucent & it turned out really really interesting.

Nice clean designs. I like them.

The tube seems to be the easiest for me. I make a log, then cut it in half...and each half in half, etc. I'd like to try lentils and pillows, but I haven't had much luck with those. I've been looking for molds, but I may have to make my own.

Thanks for the compliment :)

Cheers, Carla

If you do find molds please let me know. I'm going to have to try the tubes this weekend.

I don't make to sell. For some reason I just love this stuff. I make things to hang in the windows. And some earrings for myself.
