Erm, what have I got myself into...? (beady-related)

Today (well, it was sent yesterday) I got a text message from my friend Amy. She knows I make jewellery, I have chatted to her about it and I think she's seen one or two of my creations. She asked if I wanted to sell some jewellery, and said that Meg, a friend of hers, was organising an event I might want to get involved in, could she give her my number? So I said yes, and Amy's given Meg my number. Now I have been thinking overtime - what is this event? what have I just practically-volunteered myself for? how much stock will I need? (I don't have *that* much stock that I'm completely happy with) should I start making a ton of stuff or will it kill my creativity? should I make a load of quick-to-make, cheap-to-sell, wide-appeal items? what setting will I be in/who will my buyers be?

I am assuming whatever the event is, I will have a stall. I am kinda-prepared mentally for doing a demo if required, and I will certainly make up some info sheets to take along and display/give out once I know more about the event. And of course my business cards (they've an online 'bias' - URL and email addy - intended for including with (international) sales from website or auction) - ooh, brainwave - address stickers to stick on the back.

What else? I should wait or Meg to call with details before planning too much, but then this kinda thing is useful to plan for any event. This will be my first time... I think it's given me the kick up the bum to look into a local craft group that does fairs locally (probably wouldn't make much, and one group wich I may or may not be local enough to already has a jewellery maker, but I don't think there's table fees so I have nothing to lose and publicity and a few quid to gain!)

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! *waits impatiently for the phone to ring* (though it's gone midnight, LOL)
