Hi all, I normally only do stitching beadwork (for example peyote), but I fell in love with a bead, that I thought would make a great pendent, so I picked it up. When I got home I reallized it is only half drilled. So how do I attach a loop to it to make it into a pendant, or is it even possible? If not how are half drilled beads used?

I know I, saw somewhere on line, someone making pearl pendants with half-drilled pearls. She glued the wire into the pearl and the sculpted around the pearl and made a bail. It was really pretty. I remember wanting to try it, but I didn't have a half-drilled pearl.
The most secure way to fasten a half drilled bead is with a finding called an "up eye." This looks like a tiny screw with a cup attached. You insert the screw into the hole, with glue like E6000 or silicone to hold it. You need to put glue around the cup as well, not too much or it won't hold. If you can't find such a finding, you can cut an eye pin to fit, but it won't be as secure. Findings like up eyes are available at Rio Grande or Rings and Things. Or, if you have a good local bead store, try there.

As has been said, "half-drilled" = "half glued". I don't know how to do anything but glue a finding into the top of it. Local bead store should have one.
