Helen, just wanted you to know that I sent your package today. The only way I could insure it was to send it Express Mail or Registered, so it cost $11.50 to send (!!). I didn't realize that we can't send insured Priority Mail to the UK.

Cool, thanks for letting me know. It'll have to be signed for, I assume? How long does that take to arrive?

vj found this in rec.crafts.beads, from snipped-for-privacy@aol.comnospam (Carol in SLC) :

]You know, it doesn't say so I'm not sure. And they didn't specify how long it ]would take either, although for what they are charging, I expect it will get ]there pretty darn fast, LOL!

trust me on this one, Carol - - you never know! i sent a package to Shirley that arrived rather quickly. i sent one to Scotland, to Jim in RAM, and paid for airmail - - and it took over THREE WEEKS. evidently, the 7-day airmail was just to get it TO Scotland - not to have it delivered.

Sheesh! That's awful. I will be keeping my fingers and toes crossed that Helen's arrives far more quickly!
