I need a new computer!

When your pour water on the stuck tongue, it thaws out that frozen spot just long enough to remove said tongue intact.

Too bad my mom didn't do that!

I did do the tongue on the metal cup once on purpose, as an adult? um..sort of... just because its the one thing that squicks DS out totally. For me its fingernails being bent backwards, for him its tongue stuck on freezing metal. Diana

Fairbanks, Alaska. September usually has great displays of the aurora.

*giggling like mad* We convinced my older brother to stick his tongue to the flagpole at school. Yup. And then we ran like hell.

I love that movie, it's so much like my childhood.

LOL! I knew that part... the inexplicable thing is why she licked the freezer. Wait... maybe there were beads in it?

That's pretty much why *I* did it too. Mom said no but she didn't say why.

If it's cold enough (minus 30 or 40), the water can actually freeze and bond the tongue to the metal faster than it melts the ice! Then losing bits of your tongue is not only inevitable, but practically life saving.
