new person Sorry about the first post

Ok sorry about posting the picture. I will not do that again. Im a 50 something jewelry maker with beads and polymer clay. I have been reading your newsgroup for some time now and never posted. I have bid on some of the auctions especially the auctions for Rebekah i have bid on the lampwork beads this time. The necklace I won before with bracelet and earings is lovely.

Ok I am a full time student, working to get my bachelors degree in business management, I work full time as a temp right now for kelly services, hopefully soon Ill have a real job.

I have a 7 year old grandson named alex who is my pride and joy and whom Im helping to raise. I have a daughter who is bi-polar and cannot live alone and care for him so they reside with me. We have 3 dogs, an old springer spaniel, a jack russell, and a sheltie, two cats, 1 ferret, 1 lop ear rabbit, 1 guinea pig.

I love the lampworked beads but cannot afford the equipment to make them so I just love the ones you all make and when i can afford some I bid on them. but raisinng a second family and working as a temp money is tight sooooo mainly i look and i drool. the work you all do is excellent. Penny

Penny,

Nice to meet you!

I thought your necklace was lovely and didn't respond to your original post because I didn't wnat to join the frey requesting that you not post it your email directly :)

I am also going back to school now . Fortunately no kids yet and hopefully at some point my husband will actually get a job, so I am not in quite as tight a situation as you, but I can kind of empathise!! It is hard. Also hard to go back to being a "kid" after being in the working world.

Look forward to getting to know more of your work and more about you, and if you care to share, more about your grandson and various furry family members.

Hi, Penny. Thanks for joining. Now I am not the newest member :-)

My husband just started back to school, too. He's 49 and, like you, is working while he pursues his degree. Just watching him makes me tired. I'm in absolute awe of people who return to school as adults. Good luck.

P.S. I liked the picture of your necklace. Thanks for sharing it.
