Juuuuust fabulous. More stolen images - this time from a ton of artists.

This Russian site, which is believed to possibly be a credit card scamming/harvesting site, has hundreds of images stolen from many lampwork artists, including 20 of mine. You all might want to check it out. There are extensive threads about this on LE if you want to read more about it.

I sure wish ISGB had the funds/time to hire a lawyer for us to possibly help us deal with this. I know, it's more difficult than it sounds, but it sure would be nice.

Anyway - here ya go. It's all in russian, so clicking on the buttons and page numbers was the only way I could figure out where everything was. There are beads here from Kim Neely, Corina, Eric Radar, me and many more.

People have GOT to start hotlink and copy protecting, and watermarking images.

This SUCKS.

This just amazes me that they put so much time and effort into a TOTALLY BOGUS website! How on earth can they get away with that???? I clicked every button on every page and was amazed at the artists beads that I recognized.

They have even stolen pictures of someone making beads and their studio! I swear I've seen these pictures before on the LE website in the studio section.

Poor Kandice!....and all the others! I'm so sorry this has happened to you!

Actually, those seashells are either Becky Mason's or her sister Diane's. I also saw seashells from Patricia Santana in there. I'll bet they're targeting top ebay sellers and tracing their way back to their websites to steal photos. It just seems that way because all of the stolen photos are from really top notch artists.

Kandice and Others -

I am so very sorry this is happening to you all.

As I was clicking through the pages, I stopped several times and said, "Hey! I OWN that set!" and "I bid on that set and lost!" (Which probbly means I have a lampwork addiction, but we won't worry about that now... ) The thought of someone being able to get a cheap imitation of one of my sets that I treasure makes me furious!!

Katie

p.s. I also looked at some of the beads and thought, "WOW! Who did they steal THOSE from?! I need to go buy some of her/his beads!!! "

In fact, most of the jewelry I saw is from glassotica's site. I remember it well, it is the first lampwork jewelry I ever saw:) Check it out:

I don't know what's possible to do under these circumstances, though. It looks like the culprits keep moving sites. CYndi

I decided to look at the page source and they have a link down at the bottom to u5234.39.spylog.com (a string of numbers+spylog.com). If you look up spylog.com they have a whole ton of them, 28 pages plus with the number sequence changing each time, here's a link to that search:

I don't know what they are up to but it's probably not good. I doubt they are trying to sell cheap fake beads, they are harvesting credit cards or other info most likely. I would not email them directly.

I started doing that about a month ago. They are all watermarked now.

Vicky,

I think what they do is 'sell' you the beads. Take your credit card information..then go shopping on your dime.
