more time for sewing

Nothing new, folks,.I've just give up my playing cards(My favourites pc game) for some sewing. Maybe two hours a day more at my sm now. Happy me! And more time to share this group.

Anyway: 'Shame on me' I have to use my time better than that. Who recognize this problem? Starting my skirt tomorrow, my pattern is ready this evening. I am very happy to bring the spared hours with all of you.

I recognize the problem; I have been wasting time too. But this afternoon I did three mending tasks that had been lying around waiting for me. so I too am using my time better.

I am a Terrible procrastinator and goofer-offer. lol (I mangle the English language occasionally just for fun too. heh heh) I have taught myself to look at sewing time as my reward. I would much rather be in the sewing room working on the piddliest project as opposed to say mopping the kitchen. ;) So I make myself do my house work first Then I can sew. That way I get more done.

Now tonight I was the Multi-tasking Queen. ;) I realized that DD still had her original stocking from when she was a baby. Not a bad thing. But it's

3/4 the size of her brother's stocking. They are both at an age where this could be a problem... *sigh* So I dug out some of the purple leopard skin short pile faux fur that I had stashed. Used his stocking as a pattern and cut her one out. While the embroidery machine was putting her name on the front, I started cooking dinner (turned on the oven and got stuff ready to go in it.) While the oven was preheating and the machine was happily stitching away, I folded a load of laundry. I was Very Proud of myself.

Now I may just go paint my toenails or something. ;)

Sharon, I really needed to begin multi-tasking a few weeks back, then the youngest DGD would have gotten the bags she requested to carry DVDs and books. They will not be ready in time to mail to SC with the Christmas gifts, but should make it by early January, which is okay for a 7-YO. Emily

Well, if it's any consolation, I just mailed a package to my Aunt in SC yesterday (Friday). I HOPE it will be delivered in time for Christmas but since I mailed it from Sweden, I'm not counting on that!

Oh Sharon, one of the bags is of the fabric I got from you. She & I will have matching ones when I visit in the spring, soon after they get moved into their new home. She was very quick to point out "I had Daddy put your room just across the hall from mine, like in the other house." Emily

Thank goodness, mine does not have to go so far, only from Houston, TX to SC, about a 15-hour trip by car or a 2-hour flight. Where in Sweden do you live, my FIL was born and reared in Guttenberg. His family migrated to the US in the early 1900s, and he always enjoyed going back for visits as long as he was well. Emily

Thanks, Sharon for the compliment. She is like the other DGC, all 6 bring so much joy although I don't see them as often as I'd like. Emily
