Is eBay sales in a slump or is it just me?

Hello everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around for a little while, and you guys may have already talked about this subject and I missed it, but I am just wondering if anyone else is having a hard time with sales on eBay right now? And if anyone knows when the selling season should pick up? I'm hoping soon because I am about to launch a website in order to hit the market during the holiday shopping season. I think I may take a hiatus from eBay because the fees are racking up without the profits coming in. Anyone else feeling like this?

it's been that way for a while..for the jewelry makers, at least. and I've seen a lot of beads on ebay either selling for way less than they should be, or not even selling at all. I think everyone is just in a bind when it comes to money.

I agree about the money bind thing, I just hope people are saving up for the holiday shopping season. I just can't drop the prices of the beads I'm selling anymore so I'm just not posting them right now. I posted some of Dominic's beads a few days ago and I only have two bids and barely any watchers.

His beads usually fly off the shelves. It's just a bummer is all. You put a lot of work into your listings and to not have it pay off gets a little frustrating. I hope others are having better luck than I am right now. Keep shining!!!!

I've always had that trouble with ebay. I find it's much cheaper to not sell things on Just Beads ;-). I do sell some now and then and it's free to relist and cheaper to list. Some of the art beads seem to do fine over there but my pressed glass can get lost. Also Yahoo auctions are free but haven't made any sales there. Still you can't beat the price, if you decide to scale back you can consider them as alternatives.

A website can be the best way to go.
