jewelry websites.

Hi out there!

I just started my website

formatting link
and was just wondering if everyone here has their own website also. If so, how's it going...any tips?

I have had my own "personal" web site for about 10 years now.... and now have added a jewelry site

formatting link
and I have gotten many hits since it's been up a few months now, not to many sales, most of my sales come from members at displayground.com

Sheri,

Do you pay for advertising? Where do most of your hits come from?

Terri

Right now I do not pay for any kind of advertising...... my hits are coming from all over.... from displayground... from news groups such as this... word of mouth.. search engines. I do have a listing in PayPal Shops..... but that is free. Was going to try Yahoo shops...but they charge something like $0.50 per hit that comes from them.... not sure right now it's what I want to do

I've been thinking about doing the same thing, but it's hard to keep up with so many news groups. Maybe I'll check out displayground and see what it is like. I'm hooked up with paypal, but I don't know if I'm listed in the way you mention. I'll check it out.

So are you happy with the way things are going with your site?

Terri

To be listed in the paypal shops you have to have be using their shoppig cart (I think)... don't really remember..... but it was free with the account I had..

I would like things to pick up a little...but it's still fairly new.. and I'm still working on new designs.. (learned a better way to make rings this weekend!!)..... so right now I have time to play

ok.. going to post this again.. got some kind of error from my server.. so if it's a repeat.. sorry...

I would like things to be a bit busier on my website..but right now I'm learning so many new things... and have so many new ideas going thru my brain that it's kind of nice to be able to play

I think paypal shops are free if you use their shopping carts.. not real sure but I know that the listing was free with the account I have

I have a website for my beads - at this time I sell only off my website, and business is pretty brisk. I do have a print ad, though, and I think that makes a huge difference.
