My New Website

Hi Sally,

On the plus side, it loads fast and is colorful. It mostly views just find on my computer except for the about us page - you can't see the menu since it's being overlapped by other text.

I hope you were looking for honest feedback as I do have a few suggestions that would make it a lot better:

Consistant menu - put it in one place so we always know where to find it and don't have to search around for it - most people look either to the top of the page or the left margin for the menu. Some people like to have a graphical menu at either the top or left side, and then a text menu at the bottom. And include the page you are on in that menu so that the menu is always the same - you could grey out the page you are on if you want, but include it as a place holder.

I would like to see things in categories, rather than page 1-5 - ornaments, earrings, necklaces, whatever. It's kind of jarring to look at ornaments on one page, earrings on another, then ornaments again...

I don't know how big an issue this is, but I preffer to see things straight up rather than on the angle like most of your photos are - it's dizzying to me after awhile.

I think the text under the photos could be easier to read, and should be consistant from one photo to another.

You should not center your text as you do on the about us page - it's hard to read centered - it's a common mistake though, but bad design. Headers centered are fine, but blocks of text centered are not.

Hope this isn't too discouraging, and hope it helps!

worked perfectly for me using Opera as my browser....

love your ornaments.... gorgeous work ... and I love the kids earings... havent seen anything like that in Australia

My text and pics overlap also. Perhaps she needs to use tables to space things out right?

vj found this in rec.crafts.beads, from "Karleen/Vibrant Jewels" :
