New Website format: Please comment

Thanks for all the great comments given to try to help improve my website. Although I'm not ready to give up frames yet (I need to learn some new techniques first!), I have simplified my site, enlarged the font, and improved spacing, I think....

Here is the link to the proposed new design: any comments would be helpful and appreciated:

Looks good, Karleen.

My only suggestion would be to place your paypal "add to cart" buttons in alignment with the text, either under the Price line or right next to it. It currently appears off to the left of the picture and doesn't add to the clean lines of the rest of the site.

It's definitely improved, and I love the sea shards! Wasn't sure why both the 5 sea shard images and the 5 finished jewelry images were linked to the Sea Shards page, though.

Thanks Barb! Was it any particular page that was out of whack, or are they all mis-aligned?

My first impression is that the background on the welcome page is a little busy and distracts my eye from the text a bit. I prefer the softer focus background on the sea shards page (those are beautiful, by the way). The navigation frame works fine for me.

Thanks! I'll give changing to that background some thought.

I agree about the background. Also the long paragraph about stones:

"**PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT, I REPEAT NOT, CLAIM ANY METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES FOR ANY OF MY STONES!!!! I don't believe in that theory, and my stones are sold to be appreciated for their beauty alone. CLAIMING THAT YOU DO NOT "FEEL" ANY MANIFESTATIONS FROM THEM WILL NOT BE AN ACCEPTABLE REASON FOR THEIR RETURN."

distracts a bit, it's mood is not condusive to buying for me. I may be strange that way though, get a second opinion ;-). The sea shards are a very nice design and the Lori Greenberg bead necklace too, very nice!

It might need to be reworded a bit but I rather like it. I'd rather see a statement like that than more space wasted on metaphysics nonsense when I just want a plain ol' shiny object.

There's a story behind the metaphysical quote, LOL. I posted it here once, will try to find it again and repost.

But I guess I'm just "skeptible" about all these claims, many of which are conflicting, and wonder how in the blazes did they decide that? For example, that turquoise is "good for stomach problems" - and how exactly do you do about using turquoise to cure a stomach ailment? You'd better not eat it, being a copper mineral, you might just cure your stomach PERMANENTLY!

Polished rocks are pretty to look at and soothing to fondle, and fun to wear, ain't that enough? :)

Thanks for the kind comments, there's a story along with the metaphysical note, will try to find and repost it. Maybe I should post the story also?
