New to rec.crafts.beads

I found What on Earth when I was in college and for several DECADES after (all the way through my 20's and 30's) I could not go into that store without wanting to buy every single item in the store, LOL. I always wanted it all. All my christmas lists had stuff from there on it. They also used to have a shop at City Center downtown; I haven't been downtown in so long that I no longer know if they are still there or not!

My best source of gemstones and pearls has been bead shows.

There are at least two coming up in Ohio, though not in Columbus. I think it's well worth a two hour drive to a bead show -- I live halfway between Nashville and Atlanta, both of which get bead shows regularly, and I wind up going to three or four a year.

Driving through Gahanna is kinda fun now. I don't go there often but when we do, I'm amazed. So much has changed.

Yes, I spent 26 years in Nashville... and left there just *before* I got into jewelry-making! Ironic, isn't it?
