Grade D pearls

Several years ago, I got a bunch of grade D baroque potato pearls, about 9 x

5mm. Right now I'm putting something together using some lesser grade materials I have -- the pearls, some Swarovski head pins (silver plate) and some flowers. If nothing else it lets me play with design. But frankly, I have enough trouble using good pearls because of the care they require. Any suggestions on what I can do with these?

Maybe embed them (nicest side up) in polymer clay beads or pieces? Use them for multimedia art projects?

Because we got our Grade D pearls so vheap at a trade show, we use tham like any other less expensive beads. We bought scads of them and we like theirvarious omperfections. We do use them with head pis for earrings And we sting them on chokers ans amulet purse straps.

go look ... there's a bunch of stuff there. I like them most with crystals. or faceted firepolish 6mm inwhatever color. I even made a victorian collar with a potato pearl i every lop across the front. I od a lot of necklaces with a variety of things. A jumble of interesting "stuff" altogether. I love"stick" pearls ! A little of this and that. And i love rocks. I just put 'em all together. What I love best, though, is usin a whole bunch of inexpensive stuff in one piece. They still look cool and nobody really knows or cares, if they like it. ( whoops, I just told the whole internet !) Honeybunch

Hmmmm, I guess I could add them into ocean themed treasure necklaces. And I can make my granddaughter a necklace. If anyone has good ideas on what THEY could use them for, let me know. There's about 2 or 3 16" strands.
