OT but about beads

Hi all, just wanted to check in. I just got back from my first real show - at Fort Richardson in Anchorage Alaska. It was such a thrilling experience to be able to interact with people while they shopped for beads. I learned so much and had such a great time, almost sold everything, which was a blessing and surprise...

Ft. Rich really spoils vendors - providing help with set up and break down and bathroom breaks. Since this was my first experience as a vendor, the folks there told me that I was lucky, because you don't usually get that sort of treatment. I can't even share any horror stories, the vendors were kind to each other, the Ft. Rich Staff were angels and the customers were encouraging and fun to meet. I am already planning another show for February!

Well, hugs to all - it is great to be back! Denise R

Wow - I love the name Professional Mercantile - thanks Sarajane, I am so excited - it was such fun, soooo much work to, but it was worth every minute of worry. Just to be able to connect with people that were buying my beads - and liking them, that was sooooo cool! I don't think I could ever have done it if I hadn't met Tina from RCB and had the input of the great folks here - just too dang shy about my beads - lol. Hugs Denise

OT? Not at all.

Sounds like you had a great time. I'm so glad.. Did you stay at your sister's? Did it go OK?

You deserve to be spoiled!

When and where is the show in Feb?

It was cool seeing the beads of other lampworkers with you -- so you could see that you're right up there with them!
