OT - I think this child is going to be a talker

I just had to share that Ophelia has done nothing for the last hour but attempt to entertain me by yelling, at the top of her voice and in various inflections, "BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!" interspersed occasionally by "dog" and "Bob". "Bob" means "Breast" in Ophelia-speak, so I'm very curious about what kind of story it is she's telling! Oh great, she's now jamming a wirenut in her mouth and singing "Whooo-aaah, whooo-aaah".

If I have missed any posts I should have replied to lately, or if I post anything that seems odd, it's because she and I have both had a cold, and she's getting molars, and we are not sleeping very much. Although ONE of us wishes we were... :)

Also, cold medicine makes me ohhh so loopy.

aaawww...poor baby! (and you too, Kalera!) My smallest is also getting molars..only I was too oblivious to realise it was the cause of late night screams, until he grabbed me and bit the living heck outta my pinkie finger. Ha! Oh well, next time Mommy will pay more attention, right?

I do hope the two of you are feeling better soon. And maybe our wee ones can do a duet together...those sounds were awfully familiar...lolol

you guys know about Hylands Homeopathic Teething Remedy, don't you??? If you don't, get your butts down to the health store or wherever and get some - it really really helps! Our grocery stores cary it, but then we live in a frufru kind of place, I don't know how common it is elsewhere. But it works - try it!

Pam, I've been using it for years! I love those tiny lil things. I started using it when my own wisdom teeth started going up and down, and cutting into my gums....now I use them for my tiny tot, Tyler :)

They are wonderful!!!!

Doesn't it just! My boy is only 10 months old though. He can take a step or two before either falling down or grabbing hold of something.

Thanks, Kandice! My nose is still plugged up but I'm feeling much better, partly because she decided to sleep for six hours *straight* last night!

Thanks Candace! (Is there an echo in here?)

Um, OUCH! Gotta love the biting... or not, as the case may be! Mine thinks biting me is hilarious, though fortunately she no longer does it when she's nursing... she found that Bob quickly goes away when she bites! (Moxley tried introducing her to the concept of Bob being "asleep", which she just looked confused by.)

That is *very* awesome stuff! I am out of it (well, actually I think I still have some but I can't find the bottle) and need to get some more.

My 4-yo son talks all the time. Like your daughter. And he wants a response to everything he says, and to top things off, his hearing impairment has caused some enunciation problems, and he speaks very fast, but in a breathy voice, so I can't understand him half the time. After a full day at home alone with him, I want to climb a tree for a minute's peace!

Oh, and an update on his hearing situation; we have an appointment with an ENT on the 20th! Wish us luck.

LOL! I'm sure I'll miss their lost childhood, my lost youth, my lost teeth, lost eyesight, and lost everything else eventually. However, a parent can't and shouldn't revolve everything in their life around their children. It's not healthy. And I don't believe in regret; it's useless.

well **shrug** it was all i had. i was either working to keep them fed and housed, or spending time with them. the only outlets i had, sometimes, late at night, were reading and the internet.

This sounds oddly familiar, vicki. *glances at the Nora Roberts novel on the desk, next to the keyboard attached to the computer connected to the internet* yep...........familiar.

nope, I haven't even heard of it. I've been so housebound the past couple months...I haven't even made it to the library! And right now, I'm off to bed. Da munchkin finally decided that the 80th rendition of "The Rainbow Connection" was enough to put him to sleep. And man, is my throat killing me now.....2 hours of singing that dang song is a killer! :) But he loves it, and it keeps him calm...so yeah...Mommy sings it. And now I'm rambling. cause I'm tired. And I still need to set the coffee pot for Dh. I never realised until lately that people could ramble while typing....sorta saw that as a verbal thing only. See? That was rambling.

Goodnight vicki. and goodnight RCB :)
