]Wow that is wonderful - the only worry now - is if they deploy her
**sigh
** yes, i know. BUT she is assigned to Bremerton for at least another year and a half. THEN she has to be either on a ship or at a foreign base for two years. her roommate is going to base security in Italy in August.
**TTBOMK* Navy MA's do base security at Navy bases - so that should eliminate a lot of the high-profile targets. it won't, however keep her out of all harm's way.
i keep remembering when she took her MA final scenario exams. and i asked her how she did. and she said, "I only died twice." and i got a tad bit upset. and she very calmly said, "Mom, sometimes, when you do it RIGHT, that's what happens. It goes with the job."
luckily, she is 1) a crack shot; 2) VERY aware of things going on around her [i'd swear she had better than peripheral vision]; and 3) VERY, very well trained and "into" all phases of her job.
but i'm a mom. i'll always worry. luckily, she doesn't wear her "oh-shoot-me-now-whites" when on duty.
